Extraordinary Portraits

The comedian invites artist Caroline Pool to paint Eddie, aka Iron Gran, an inspiring 82-year-old who has completed eight Ironman triathlons. After losing her husband in her fifties, Eddie started running long distances to help her cope. At 60 she learned how to swim and at 72, she became the oldest British woman to ever complete an Ironman triathalon, 10 years later she shows no signs of slowing down. Caroline faces the dilemma, should she capture Eddie's fun-loving energy or reveal something quieter and more reflective beneath the surface?
