Natural World: The Great Bears of Alaska

A fascinating insight into the brown bears of Alaska, who spend six months of the year hibernating through bitter winter. When they awaken they spend the summer months devoted to a life of gluttony. They graze on sedges, relish berries and gorge themselves on oil-rich salmon, disappearing fattened and replete for another six-month snooze. However, the fight for food can be a dangerous one.
