William Witney's western stars John Payne as Kirby Randolph, a wagon train scout who, after a crossing goes wrong, struggles to find employment. Then he is hired by Jess Griswold to escort wagons of guns through hostile territory. Matters are complicated by the presence of Aurelie St Clair, Griswold's intended, who soon starts making eyes at Randolph, and there is the small matter of the marauding Indians, determined to get their hands on the wagons' precious load.
