Feature-length drama about a detective whose patch is a seemingly idyllic rural district. When Julian Shepherd is found drowned, it seems as though he committed suicide due to all his money being tied up in Charles Edmonton's latest invention. But when another man dies after poaching peregrine eggs from Charles's wife, Barnaby suspects foul play.
