Lorelai receives a late wedding present without a card attached, and insists that it be returned. Seeing the lengths to which Lorelai is going to find out who sent it, Sookie tells her to move on and get some closure on her relationship with Max. So Lorelai accepts a dinner date with Paul from her business class. Meanwhile, Rory, Paris, Madeline and Louise are assigned to present the death scene from Romeo and Juliet in the Chilton Shakespearean Festival. Paris assigns Rory the role of Juliet. But Tristan, who has returned to school after his suspension, is cast as Romeo against Rory's wishes
