Well hello to you! After a two-year break, the award-winning sitcom Miranda is finally returning to our screens. A series like no other, Miranda Hart has proven to be the queen of comedy with her hilarious take on everyday life that leaves us cringing in embarrassment for her main character Miranda, and laughing our socks off with the supporting cast. From falling into open graves to dealing with her overbearing mother (played by the hilarious Patricia Hodge), Miranda is guaranteed to have you in stiches every week, whilst secretly wishing that your life was as exciting as her's!
Filmed in front of a live audience, series three of Miranda begins on its new BBC1 home on Boxing Day and includes an array of guest-stars, including Gary Barlow, Rayond Blanc and Emma Kennedy. That's definitely worth a high-five!
Written by and starring the much-loved comedian Miranda Hart, the series opens with a Christmas-themed episode as our hapless heroine offers more laugh-out-loud, pure, unadulterated, fun. Picking up where the last series left off, Miranda and her love interest Gary have agreed to be ‘just good friends’ and so future episodes find Miranda determined to get herself a new man to obsess over and keep her mother, Penny, off her back. As regular viewers will know, this will not be an easy task...
Meanwhile, best friend Stevie has a new executive job which prompts Miranda to follow her lead into an office profession. A world away from her joke shop however, it all proves a bit too much.
Of course the big question on everyone's lip is can Miranda and Gary really just stay friends? Here's a sneaky clip from the first episode of series 3:
Speaking of the new series, Miranda Hart told the BBC 'The first two episodes are quite slow moving establishers compared with previous series and they set up what happens from episode three onwards. There are two new regular characters, quite a few kisses, a couple of celebrity cameos. And that’s all I am saying!'
The third series of Miranda will begin on Boxing Day on BBC1. Such fun!
Perhaps Miranda would like to see us out with a song?
You can also see Miranda Hart on your television screens on Christmas Day when she returns as nurse Chummy Brown in a Call The Midwife Christmas Special.
