This comedy drama follows the lives of two very good friends, Abbie (Madonna) a straight woman, and Robert (Rupert Everett), her gay friend, whom decide to have a child together.
This works out fine, until five years after this, when Abbie falls in love with a chap who wants to move in with Abbie and Robert's child, Sam (Malcolm Stumpf).
