Flashback episode going back to a case in 2010. A freelance hacker is hired to test the Machine's security system, only to find some suspicious code - and end up bundled in the boot of an enemy car for his trouble. When he escapes, Finch hires Reese's gung-ho predecessor Rick Dillinger to protect the man - but Dillinger soon realises he is up against trained government agents who also want to track him down.
