Irish Masters Snooker

The 24th Irish Masters Snooker Tournament is set to take place between 27th March - 1st April and is being held in the Citywest Hotel, Saggart, Co Dublin. All the top snooker stars will be playing off the cushion exclusively on Tara TV.

The prizes are bigger, the competition fiercer and the audience wider! As the only professional snooker tournament held in Ireland on a regular basis, it attracts the most famous faces in the game and gives fans the opportunity to meet and see their heroes playing live.

After last year's thrilling final between Stephen Hendry and John Higgins, which saw Higgins pot a victorious win, can the 24 year-old Scot hold onto his first Irish title or will he fold under the pressure of competing against the world's leading snooker players?

Following legislation brought into effect by the Health Minister, the long history of the Benson & Hedges Championship has come to an end and its new sponsor will be Citywest Hotel.

Although the 23-year sponsorship has changed, the finesse, tension and atmosphere will be as electric as before but with even more talent to take on the top ranking players.
