Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious
Choreographer Robin Antin created the Pussycat Dolls as a cabaret act in a Hollywood nightclub; the group has since transformed into one of the most successful female pop groups in the world, selling seven million albums and topping the charts with five smash singles.
Utilising her expertise and eye for talent, Antin is launching a brand-new girl group called Girlicious. Looking for singers with dance ability and superstar charisma, Antin and co-judge of the show, Geffen Records chairman Ron Fair, searched nationwide for the most talented girls in America.
Fifteen finalists were chosen from among thousands to compete for a spot in the new group, and the opportunity to go from obscurity to international stardom. Each week, the girls sing, dance and rehearse to the max in the hope of moving on to the next round of the competition.
Members of the Pussycat Dolls who experienced the same gruelling process, along with other surprise guests, appear to inspire the young hopefuls as they strive to impress the judges: Antin, Fair and Grammy-winning recording artist Lil' Kim.
