Cornel Wilde dons a pair of tights and cries 'History be damned!' in this swashbuckling Hollywood romp, directed by George Sherman and Henry Levin. Wilde plays Robert, the dashing son of Robin Hood, who fires a well-aimed arrow into William of Pembroke's plot to abolish the people's rights established under the Magna Carta and snatch the throne from boy king Henry III. And, in addition to saving the country, he has the opportunity to rescue a beautiful noblewoman and the Queen Mother.
