Shown ten years after the fatal crash that stunned the world, this watchable drama documentary puts the final days of Diana, the Princess of Wales, into context. Based on the testimony of a number of interviewees and published sources (including the Paget report, released last year by the Metropolitan Police after a four-year investigation), the programme blends compelling interviews with drama to portray a story of love, deceit, wealth and power.
Interviewees include Mohamed Al Fayed, Kez Wingfield (one of the bodyguards present in Paris) and Myriah Daniels (Dodi's masseuse who was present both on the final boat holiday and in Paris). Daniels has never spoken publicly before and Wingfield's only previous TV interview was given in 1988.
It's highly watchable, but be warned that it does take time to build. The last half hour or so is terrific.
