In the not-too-distant future, docking pilot Fry (Radha Mitchell) makes a forced crash-landing of her spacecraft on a distant planet. Fry's crew is killed, but a handful of the 40 passengers survive, including lawman Johns (Cole Rauser) and his prisoner, the murderous Riddick (Vin Diesel). Survival is tough with Riddick on the loose and no water in sight. But as all three suns set and the planet is plunged into total darkness, the survivors have even more to fear.
