Happily married Simon and Liv seem to have everything they could possibly want from life: a lovely son, Mart; a beautiful home; and successful careers. Simon is a doctor and Liv runs a design company with Simon's brother Haje. The whole family get together for Mart's birthday. Simon's other brother Erik, a police detective who is up for a big promotion, attends with his wife Marieke. So does Alex, Haje's unpredictable wife. To everyone's surprise, Simon's cousin Kevin, who hasn't always seen eye to eye with the family, shows up. There is a mysterious conversation with Simon, and the reunion feels uncomfortable.
