David Caffrey

This black comedy thriller is set in Northern Ireland.

The story follows the antics of Dan Starkey (David Thewlis) who is a highly cynical Belfast based newspaper columnist.

He and his wife, Patricia (Laine Megaw) share a great passion for drink and dance, but when he meets up with a young women, called Margaret (Laura Fraser), whilst covering the country's first election, his life changes forever.

Margaret is a beautiful and fresh young student and things soon start to flourish between them. However when Dan finds her murdered he finds himself on the run from unidentified gunmen, and is forced to seek sanctuary with a nurse who also performs 'nun-o-grams'.

As he tries to find out why he is being targeted and the truth behind the whole affair, the trail leads to an electoral candidate for the new Northern Ireland Assembly
