Married With Children was broadcast by Fox in 1986 and ran until 1997 - an amazing 11 years, making this comic accomplishment one of America's longest running sitcoms - ever!!

The Bundys live their lives for themselves. Al (Ed O'Neill)is constantly used by his entire family for his wallet and invariably they don't have money left over for food - so eat the dog's!

Al is a shoe salesman who is fond of frequently reliving his dubious 15 seconds of fame on the football field and who is terrified that his wife Peggy (Katey Sagal) will make a sexual advance on him (which she does all too frequently), therefore creating their frequent quarrels of sexual dissatisfaction, leaving Al to browse over his favourite reading material - Playboy and Big 'Uns

Peggy's ambition in life is to be a kept women and loves spending all of Al's wages and her time at the mall (not that the wages are very big)

They have two children, Kelly (Christina Applegate), the stereotypical blonde bimbo who spent her evenings leaving heel prints in the ceilings of her many boyfriends cars, and Bud (David Faustino), the egoist, so wrapped up in himself he remained girlfriendless but soon began to enjoy the company of a blow up doll.
