Keanu Reeves stars in Andrew Davis' thriller as Eddie Kasalivich, a brilliant physicist who's part of a university research team who find a way to deliver free energy from water. But when an explosion at their laboratory destroys the work and kills the team leader, Kasalivich and Dr Lily Sinclair find themselves suspected of sabotage and murder.
On the run, with the mysterious Paul Shannon and the even more shadowy Lyman Earl Collier co-ordinating the operation to track them down and, if necessary, "terminate them with extreme predjudice", the pair have to prove their innocence and save their secret.
The double and triple-dealings are balanced by the fast-moving chase sequences with Reeves well used to handling the action role, while Weisz's character is a feisty fighter rather than just eye candy.
