A legend in investigative reporting and current-affairs TV, burly reporter Roger Cook had his own distinctive method of doorstepping and exposing criminals, crooks, conmen and cover-ups. In the 1980s "The Taped Crusader" tracked down villains across the UK and from the Far East to the Costa del Sol. In the process, he was roughed up, threatened with guns and attacked with iron bars - all caught on camera.
In this programme Cook revists many of his infamous investigations to reveal what happened once the cameras stopped rolling. Did the corrupt, incompetent and downright crooked get their just desserts? Or did those in authority somehow let them slip through their fingers?
Top-notch stuff. Highly recommended.
