William and Kate: The Movie

Channel 5 at 3:55pm (Other show times...)

William and Kate: The Movie

Inspired by the royal wedding, this Hollywood TV movie caused a media frenzy when news broke that it was being filmed. The film retells the highs and lows of the nine-year courtship of Kate Middleton and Prince William and explores how the couple met at St. Andrews university and the struggles they went through to keep their relationship together in the face of intense media scrutiny and family pressures. The film end of course, in a fairytale wedding.

There was much spectulation over who would play the future King and Queen of England. The final casting was English actress Camilla Luddington playing Kate Middleton and New Zealand born Nico Evers-Swindell stars as Prince William.
